Elaine
qualified as a Teacher in 1982 having gained a Geography Degree from
Aberdeen University. She had teaching assignments roles before joining
The Business of Business in 1997 where she commenced a variety of hands-on
small client assignments culminating in a demanding contract as Financial
Controller in the Construction Industry using MYOB software. The experience
gained covered all aspects of the Finance function including Credit
Control, Management Accounts and systems development. She maintained
her involvement at various levels of input over 4 years before handing
over the role to an internal candidate. Her skills at organisational
management and control were utilised in a medium term contract with
a US Based software house when she implemented the switch in the Sales
Ordering function from Brussels to London handling the software implementation
and training (Sage). She was engaged for a second contract with the
same company to design a process for improving support renewal retention.
Elaine's skills centre on operational management including the finance
function. She is also an MYOB training specialist.
